It's on New Years Eve and they never release the location of a rave(actually called parties now because of the negative association raves have with drugs) is never releases until 24 hours before.

ummm not really. the last 'party' that i went to was transformers which i got tickets well in advance for which had the location... so you lose.

That is a strange. I would have to see it to believe it. Even if it were true it would be an exception to a very commonly known custom. I'm not trying to slight you in anyway and I'm not going to pretend that I know everything about the topic but I am surrounded by people who literally live for these things. However if you can prove me wrong again and find the location of Back to the Future I would greatly appreciate it... I'm not holding my breath though.

I encourage you with the moving out. Move in somewhere that has an indoor pool, so if I don't get in to Harvard and end up living in Winnipeg laying on my floor eating cheetos (which would be awful because I despise Cheetos), I can call Zem, who will be doing the exact same thing if she doesn't get into McGill, and I can be all like, "I'm bored and its cold out. What should we do?" and she can be all like "Let's go swimming. In Tyler's pool. Because he has a pool." It'll be awesome. You must approach it from an altruistic angle, so that I can benefit from it, obviously.
