I'm always up for yoga (or Pilates) if you want to make it a reoccuring thing...

You also make the volunteering thing sound awesome, I feel useless for not doing much (if any) of it. I am waiting for my police record check, and then hopefully I will see what's out there for me. I never went a head with the blood donor thing because I can't get there in time from work, I need to find something I cna fit in my schuedual. But you make it sound worth any rearranging that might have to go into it. Thanks for the motivation today!
Alsp that reminds me...need to go give blood again, I was due June 12th. Was going to go today, be decided to wait until after our run, I will need all the red blood cells I can get.

They just called the other day and we made appointments for July...4th I think? In the afternoon. I'm glad you're thinking about volunteering, BUT...I volunteered at Blood Services and it was BOOOORING. Like, extremely boring! Serving people cookies and juice...bleh.

I don't know if the ESL tutor thing interests you but it's a couple of hours one day a week whenever you're able to fit it into your schedule. I'm liking the sound of the flexibility :)

BUT also as you may have read about in Crystal's journal there are TONS of opportunities at different places. She's been really into the drama festival scene, and doing that, I think you get to see some of the shows for free. n the past I volunteered at the Tulip Festival, which was a lot of fun. And these are one time commitments.

www.volunteerottawa.ca is a really good website!

Hi! I concur, volunteer ottawa is great resource to draw on.

I feel like my volunteering has been less than altruistic. It's really more fun, and I get paid in free shows. I am looking to do something else come fall -- the GCTC (new location!) is looking for volunteers, and so is a few schools in the neighborhood.

BTW - if you want to try yoga at the RAMALOTUS centre, they have a reduced price ($7)for your first class. I highly recommend the Hatha beginner classes on Saturday and Sunday in the Sky room. They are my favourite. Unfortunately, I won't be going this weekend to those classes because of the Fringe Festival. Let me know if you go, kay?

See you tonight? Book club? yeah, when & where please?
