April is National Poetry Month

Apr 01, 2010 02:46

So for the third (or is it fourth?) year in a row, I will be posting one poem every day. Don't worry non-poetry fans, all will be under a cut.

This is so beautiful.
My favorite part:
until you catch the sound
of something lost and shy
beating its wings
against those darkening stars.

I'm glad to share anything people enjoy.

I love your icon, btw.

best line break ever---- "stars/ of ice"....

ALSO, I'm glad you're doing this. I'm attempting again, as I attempt every year, to actually do the same. We'll see how long into April I make it.

I haven't logged into LJ in a long time.

I hope you do! As you know, you are the one that started me on this.

I'm sure you'd have such good poems to share. I look forward to reading them. Even if you don't make it every day, you should still post whenever you think about it this month!
