I found this via stumble upon earlier.

Politics are pretty obnoxious. Even more obnoxious is when a whole newspaper comes out saying they're FOR one particular candidate. I don't get that. I guess it's okay to be open about your media bias, but why would anyone voting for McCain, or just generally disgusted by obama then go and pick up that paper? why would anyone for McCain write for that paper, and how comfortable would they feel in doing so? Politics came into play a lot this past weekend, but less than Lizzy would make it out to be. I think the most obnoxious statement made was "I just tune it out." yeahhh because smart people entirely ignore the opinions of others and refuse to hear the case of anyone that disagrees with them. Matt made a point of saying that as soon as that statement was uttered and i was really proud of him.

I'm an odd duck (what?) politically. I come from a family that could be considered the republican wing of the kennedy family (as we called ourselves this weekend)...I date a self proclaimed anarchist (who is actually pretty close to an anarchist in what he believes government should and shouldn't be involved in, although he's also not far off from a republican) I work at a museum for a man who was arguably the hero of the democratic party in his time. I live in a majority democratic state, and I'm part of the age bracket that's considered heartless if not a democrat. I live in a town of people that call themselves democrats but votes republican. I sat in Richie Corrado's parlor last night complaining about how well mccain did versus obama in the debates but how the media makes him out to be an idiot and how disrespectful Obama was throughout the debate and yet it's McCain's smirks they were talking about. It feel good to be around like-minded people too. Charlie and Richie are on the same page as me and matt for the most part and its cool.

Above and beyond all that nonsense...life has been good. Rose was out wednesday and thursday. i was out wednesday too, so I missed one of my free days. Matt and I have been hanging out at Richie's a lot lately and thats been cool.  We went there tuesday night with some framboise and hefeweisens.Charlie, some other kid whose name I've yet to learn and Timmy Hogan were there. We watched some ghost hunting thing.

Last night was similar. We watched the office with everyone but Timmy. Matt fixed up Richie's mohawk and I thought it was cute because I was hanging out with boys, but they were doing girly things like playing with each others hair. Most of them were also drinking and chewing tobacco too so I guess that balanced it out.

Today I got up early to watch Roses kids for Sugar. Ed's aunt died and today was the funeral. They were good but midway through Kiki started a "I wanna go to Sugar" crying jag....fun. now I'm just sorta waiting around for matt to get home from school, whilst I contemplate whether or not I want to go back to bed for an hour or two.

The red sox winning is a double edged sword. I'm a sox fan, but I hate all the other "sox fans" that will now flood the city of boston with their pink hats and their fake cheers. As we were walking home past the junction lastnight a guy was challenging a girl on her baseball convictions. We talked about it last night while we were watching From Russia with Love too...."I thought they always played the yankees" haha. Charlie is actually a pretty funny guy. I like hanging out with boys again. I think part of the reason Amanda's house is such a weird dynamic for me is because I'm just so used to being the only girl within a group of three or more guys.  Being with both Richie and Matt puts me at ease to for some reason. Maybe it's because at this point, they're the oldest friends I have that I still see regularly.

Fridays are nice when I don't have to get up and rush to work by any particular time. I like being able to sleep kinda late and have a cup of coffee and just write. I haven't started that blog yet but I'm going to today I think. I have about a half hour before matt's done with classes so that doesn't leave me much time to do much of anything if we're to hang out after the fact. I was considering taking a walk to get my nails done but I might want to wait until amanda gets done with work to do so. I really don't know.
