I can feel you falling

FUCK. This is so fucking ridiculous. I realize that I am a very small person... I live in this body, so I SEE it every day. I have said it many many many times but people really need to cut it the hell out. Because its really not cool ( Read more... )

Why does it bother you so much? I can understand that it may be kind of annoying when people continually state the obvious, but I don't understand why it's so infuriating. I don't think anyone really means to be insulting by mentioning that you're skinny, and you know you eat plenty and don't have a problem, so why is it so troubling when people point out that you're skinny? It just seems to me like you get too worked up over it. Next time someone tells you you're skinny, just try to ignore it or tell them to tell you something you don't know.

when someone tells you "you should gain 10 pounds you're way to skinny" or "its fucking scary how skinny you are" or "your ribs stick out" its not something you are going to be taking well. If someone was over weight I wouldnt "point out the obvious" by telling them how over weight they are... & no matter what anyone says thats the same thing. If I were to do that then I would be a horrible bitch, but every other person telling me over & over & over how "fucking skinny" I am is RUDE.
I did ignore it at first, because I didnt see at as anything negetive at first. But people making comments about it & saying they are just kidding about it seems a little mean. Why do they have to make cracks at my expense about something they know I dont like hearing. Even some of my good friends are saying things about it & I think thats mean. They arent complimenting me, they are making a comment that doesnt need to be made about something that would be considered rude if pointed out to a not skinny person.

I hate it.

Well you can see your ribs, but you can see my ribs too. It's not really a bad thing. I don't know - it's just that I've heard comments about how skinny I am and never felt offended. I'm not sure it's exactly the same thing as pointing out how fat someone is either because skinniness is generally seen as a thing to be envied in our society. I'm not saying the people should be saying it, especially if they know it bothers you. They definately shouldn't. I just think that you let it hurt you more than you should. Maybe it can't really be helped though. Sorry if I'm just making you more angry. It's the opposite of my intent.
