Matt my friend, this was a pleasant read, and felt reandom as hell. (or at least parts did)
I can't believe your piano doesn't have a home yet... How sad. It really is one of the coolest pianos ever, and is well deserving of a place to call home, so you should get on to that. I'm not one for haikus, mainly cos the ones I normally read online on people's posts are random collections of words and mean nothing... However yours makes sense, so kudos.
Online tests... Pfft. I was meant to do an online course for JB HiFi, but I never got round to it. They said they wanted to 'eduacte their staff' but really it turned out that they got money from the government for each person that completed it. Needless to say I never did it... I'm probably still enrolled.
Anyway. That's about all, my dim-witted friend. (And I don't actually think you are dim-witted, but that was the line of a song that just played, so I'm using it, dammit.)
two random jap facts for you because i think that was the theme of your post: #1: my psych lecturer's name last year was "yoshi". (not really a fact) #2: if you say "don't touch my moustache" really fast, apparantly it means "you're welcome" in jap. :P
and yes, pretty sure #2 is true. my sister heard some non-jap person try and speak jap in some movie, and he said "don't touch my moustache". then my sister asked her jap friend at school to say "you're welcome" in jap and she was ROFLing for a good ten minutes or so afterwards... before telling them why. true story!
Yeah, Polly's been pretty good, but you've been the first cracker jack, I mean joke ;)
The only thing I've been finding particularly challenging is that it's nights. After getting home at three on Wed morning, getting up again at 7 for uni wasn't the most fun.
Having said that, they seem to be training me up to work in the bar. One day I'll be a cocktail queen!
And on another note, I really meant to be at your last gig, I planned to go with a friend and everything, but due to miscommunication Whim had organised friends to be at our place and I didn't realise we'd double booked until late that arvo. Hope it went really well. You must tell me when you're doing it again :)
