So very happy to see this updated! It is one of my favorite WIPs and I hope you'll be able to update more often? This chapter was funny and I adored the subtle cajoling from Carly and Mike.

Two parts specifically that gave me the lulz:

1. I just wanna be like you," Mike sang, batting his eyelashes. "Come on, move your sweet ass before I pee on you. Unless you're into that."

Fortunately, Cook was already sliding off the end of the bench seat before such a thing could come to pass. "Not usually," he answered, "but for you I might make an exception."

Such "guy" humor - I love it. ;)

2. Cook instinctively pushed his own stubby (dirty) fingers through his own stringy (dirty) hair, suddenly feeling like something of a lowly (dirty) pauper.
Cook's self consciousness in that moment was extremely endearing. ♥
