I used my veto on "Prehistoric". I am not gonna write dinosaurs. And, c'mon, cavemen might be interesting to write, but the dialogue wld comprise largely of, "Unk", no? Heeeee :)
I LOVE that you said "Metamorphosis", actually. Your huge lit nerd brain, it makes me flaily XD
I thought about using mine on Prehistoric but then I got distracted by others, I think. Oh well, at least it's not right in the middle of my card where it could be more troublesome.
Hee! Do you find it sexy, baby? *shakes brain at you* When I was made to read that story in school I think I was the only person who liked it. Everyone else was very perplexed by how bizarre they found it, but I loooooved it. I used the term "Kafka-esque" to describe everything for like a month. I made countless in-depth analyses about the story's deeper meanings. At the end of the term we were assigned to write a parody of one of the stories we had read and I picked that one (which ended quite tragically indeed).
Oh my goodness, there needs to be Lit Bingo! The categories would be like In The Style Of: Franz Kafka, Parody: Brave New World, Genre: Pulp Fiction. YEEEEEESSS.
Looking forward to these. They look like enormous fun. However I have no idea what cyberpunk is. I've only just learned what steampunk is thanks to Jehane. heh
Cyberpunk is pretty much like steampunk only futuristic and depressing. LOL. Well, my complete understanding of either is a bit scarce at best, but that's the major difference I see boiled down to one sentence. I'm not too familiar with literature of either genre but some steampunk films include Wild Wild West (a definitive description I'd say), The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and (the recent) Sherlock Holmes. Cyberpunk is a bit more Hackers, The Fifth Element, The Matrix. So I described it as depressing earlier because it seems it always takes place in some near-futuristic dystopian society where everything is falling apart.
Wow, sorry for the sudden rambling, but I had to look it up too, so I thought I might as well share while I was at it. :) After all that time thinking about it, now I think Archie needs to be some kind of computer hacker that Cook tracks down to save the world. Hahaha, what.
