I believe that it was a reference to Cook's brother, Adam, who died in May 2009. :/

Yes... Adam Cook who had brain cancer...didn't occur that in my brain. Well, that's just sad/pity for Cook. Poor guy. I understand his feeling if this is what occur to him every time he said goodbye to someone. :)
