Interesting...I've come across articles like that before. I thought they were a little funny, but mostly sad. Not sad like crying sad, but sad as in...well, if they cut thier wrists over something strangers said over the internet, then they had some serious problems. I could understand it if it was someone you knew and they were saying things to your face, but any insult/ mean thing said over the internet just dosent seem that bad. I do agree with the eveyone being nicer thing, even though I'm at the point where insults dont have any effect whatsoever on me.

Funny?
how is someone who is depressed funny?
someone who is hurting so bad they take a knife to themselves..
Just because insults dont effect you, doesn't mean it doesn't hurt others.
thanks for the input alex...

Well, I'm sorry if I offended you, but I have the bad habit at laughing at the misfortune of others(unless they happen to be a friend and even then I'll laugh if its not that serious). And I wasnt laughing at the actual killing/maiming of oneself, more at the fact that the insults of a stranger on the internet would drive someone to do that. I know that there people who take insults seriously, and that just because I've gotten used to them dosent mean others will, but I just dont see how something said by a stranger or over the internet would drive someone to do that to themselves. Once again, I'm sorry if you took offense to what I've said in this post or the last.

only goonies and kyle monteiro and nick cutler slit their wrists... and thats fucked up cause that shit hurts and why would u wanna do that to urself but i mean to some people cutting their selves is like getting high.. pot or razor blade to the wrist ... which ever u chose is up to U

For starters...
kyle and nick are good friends of mine and i highly doubt either one of them are cutters... or "goonies" (did you miss the whole part about unkind words and how it effects people?) so leave specific ppl outta this please. you didnt leave your name so dont bring other ppls into it...just outta respect.

you are right...some ppl cut themselves as a way to get high
possibly to escape things in life they can't cope with?
either way...its not good.

but the point of the entry was to inspire ppl to be kinder...not to call people "goonies" and defend cutting.

either way...thanks for the input

Bad comments on lj? try not having a cool voicemail message... : ( anonymous May 5 2005, 05:25:50 UTC
Its sad to think about such a truth: young girls (and i guess guys too) cutting their wrists over things as stupid as what people say about them on this thing.

I'll pray for them today. Becuase prayer is the most powerful thing anyone has.

if that doesn't give away just to who is writing this response, then

iloveyouduh. ;)
