Infopost Train: Oh. Yeah. You can ride it.

So. Dandelion Naizen. Let's talk about her shall we?

The Background...

Before the horror of Buffy Season 8 and Angel: After the Fall, Joss Whedon wrote an online comic strip for Dark Hourse called "Sugarshock!" It was the story of a punk rock band that goes off planet to what they think is an intergalactic battle of the bands but due to a translation error end up in a battle for the fate of the planet Earth. (This was also partially due to their drummer being an alien princess who screwed around with one too many groupies.)

There were only three issues to the web comic but the insanity of it all was enough for him to win the Eisner award for Best Online Comic in 2008.

The comics are absolutely bizarre, hilarious and absolutely free so don't be afraid to go take a gander at them:

(Unfortunately the Dark Horse Myspace page is being flaky right now so you may have to go to the back issue selection below the comic and click on issue one to follow along. Sorry for MySpace and Dark horse being a pain in the ass.)

Go on. I'll wait here. I've got nothing better to do.

...

Done? Okay. Moving on.

Dandelion Naizen: She's completely batshit
Dandelion Naizen does not have a lot of background going on for her, so some of the details are a bit interpretive based on the comic.

First of all she's the lead singer and a guitarist for the punk band Sugarshock and apparently is insane. Her view on the world? Completely bizarre. Upon revelation that her drummer was an alien princess, her first reaction was to say that she totally knew that all along and then tried to pull the drummer's face off because she thought it might be a mask. (It wasn't)

She appears to be Japanese-American with a basic understanding of Japanese and an intense hatred of all things Viking related. There is also no rational explanation to why she hates the Vikings. She just does. So if you are from Nordic descent, I apologize now to Dandelion's behavior toward you. (Sorry Hiccup. Sorry to anyone planning on apping Thor someday.)

Dandelion also claims that she works for a "Secret Government Agency". It's so secret in fact that she blabs about it and any supposed secrets that agency has to anyone who will listen. (So far the biggest secret has something to do with Abraham Lincoln and Caribou.) She's also been authorized to use "Deadly Force" by this secret agency but never actually uses it. She just threatens to use it. Repeatedly. And Often. Please feel free to blow her off on this point because by the time she brings it up your character should realize that she's just nuts.

Dandelion also appears to know most of what is considered the "Saddest Song in the World" though she's forgotten most of the lyrics. However it is still powerful enough to make all creatures weep and become introspective about their lives.

Except for Squirrels. Because those fuckers have no souls. I'm sure the radio squirrels will just love that fantastical nonsense.

Side effects of the saddest song in the world include dizziness, loving Dandelion to pieces, liver engorgement, increased heart rate, loss of appetite, constipation, gamer's thumb, amnesia, euthanasia, micronesia and rhinoplasty.

Though that all comes from the word of an insane girl, so feel free to ignore the side effects.

The PB
The PB (aka "Played by" but it will always mean "Photobunny" to me) is a MTV VeeJay from Brazil named "Marimoon". She is neither Japanese nor American but her hair (For the most part) is the perfect shade for Dandelion and Marimoon loves to use the "Fist of Rock" in her photos. For those two reasons alone, I declared her Dandelion's PB. Deal with it.

The Mun
Y'all know me either as Marty, Jamie, Mel, Worf, Gibbs, Gunn and Layla. Infoposts for them will be up whenever I get around to it. For the last couple of months I've been fairly absent in the game due mostly to RL stuff though that should start clearing up in the next couple of weeks. Most of my availability is during the day during the average work week and extremely late in the evening. On the weekends my time is relegated mostly to the evenings as well.

I'm available most of the time on my gmail account and in the evenings on AIM.

And... yeah that's pretty much about it.

Questions? Comments? Concerns?

Don't make me use deadly force.
