Time for a new Top 5 list. Staying topical and all-I think the election is still topical-today’s top 5 list flown in directly from Chicago on the Wings of Hope is the Top 5 Elections of My Lifetime.

5. 1988. The Democrats didn’t win this one. George H.W. Bush did. It was special for other reasons, which are none of your business.

Looking back I remember that Reagan was president, but I didn't really become aware of everything until Clinton was elected.

I was happy to see the sea of blue, too. My mom said she had an arguement with a coworker about who won California. Mom was right when she said it went blue, and she probably went blue in the face trying to convince the other person. Sheesh.

They thought McCain won California? That was like a 22-point margin.

Funny. I'm two years younger than you are and I can still vaguely remember the Carter / Ford debates. Ironically, that was the last election where both of my parents voted Republican.
