World history in elementary and middle school? What have they been smoking? I vaguely remember a bit about these subjects from middle school, but it was minor at best. It may have been half of a marking period at best for world history. And US history wasn't covered beyond minor soundbites regarding individual names prior to high school. They're INSANE!!

Nevada thinks big numbers are good. Being 50th MUST be good, right?

Actually, since Nevada became a State during the Civil War, we wouldn't be allowed to talk about that. Or the Civil War. Or Reconstruction.

I'm sure everyone will find the Gilded Age fascinating.

Well, it will give your students a unique view of history... since most American history classes never seem to get past the Civil War, no matter what they're supposed to cover.

Ahhh, a world without history, a country without context. Nevada's gonna grow 'em good. I suppose next English teachers won't be allowed to teach parts of speech because *those* were covered in the five minutes teachers had to broach the subject somewhere in the middle of 4th grade and testing. While they were teaching world history.
