Dear Fashion Industry,

If you want to sell plus-size clothing, here's a radical idea: use plus-sized women in your catalogs. And no, I don't mean your ooh-look-she's-a-size-10!!! "plus-sized" models. I mean AN ACTUAL FAT CHICK. Bad enough that society in general would like us erased. But if you want my money, it seems that the least you can do is

This is why my mother likes Junonia. Their stuff is spendy, but it lasts a long time, and their catalogs are nothing but plus-sized models.

Granted, I haven't spoken to my mother in 6 years, and I can't afford Junonia prices, so I don't know if they're still around or still use exclusively plus-sized models. But it might be worth looking into.

It's no better for us guys. I end up ordering from a big-fatties catalog called Kingsize Direct, and 90% of their print catalog models are Chiseled Prettyboys. The few that aren't are the 'oh, maybe they're a tiny bit husky' types. Grrr.
