Call for artist recommendation
I've decided it's time for the next tattoo, or it will be as soon as I figure out where to put it. :) But I need a designer. Do any of you know anyone who is very good at Celtic knotwork animals?
I have, for the last few years, been planning on getting a tattoo that represents my children. I figured it would be good form to wait until I'd actually, you know, had them both before getting it, but that didn't stop me from thinking about what to get. I settled on getting a bear for Timothy (born in California) and an orca for Charlotte (born in Washington). Originally, I wanted them done in the style of northwest coast Native art. (Here's a thunderbird and a killer whale drawn in that style, if you're interested.) So I started doing some reading on that, and quite quickly ran across the phrase "cultural appropriation", and did a bunch of reading on that instead, and yeah not wanting that style anymore. But I would still like the animals together and stylized. And Celtic background I can at .least stake a claim to. :)
