The Ghost's Dinner is my favorite picture book. In my ever so humble opinion, it's one of the finest pieces of kid's literature you can get your hands on. Great for the early elementary-school set. It's brilliant, and the best book in the whole series.

Arrgh, it's out of print, and it looks so good!! (That's driving me crazy, btw - I love Aki and the Fox, but it's not available any more either.)

If I can find a used one in "very good" or better condition that wasn't a former library book, I could probably sneak it past our collection developer... I see one on Amazon for $9. :D

The Little House is one of my all-time favorite books, picture and otherwise. Every time I see a little old house sitting incongruously in the middle of a heavily commercial area, I'm reminded of it, and wonder if that house also dreams wistfully of a time when it used to be in the middle of rolling countryside.

Isn't it such a sweet story? It's totally stood the test of time. One of these days I want to make myself a Little House sampler.

Look, Look! is good for a very young baby. Anything by Denise Fleming will be good for a slightly older child. Time to get that library started! :D

YAY for a working robot and an awesome nine-year-old! That'd perk anyone up! :)

I haven't read any of the picture books up there but may need to. ;)

Here are a couple of my favorites:

The Tale of Three Trees

Blue Hat Green Hat This one is a video showing a game on ipad of the book. :)

Oooh, those look lovely! I will have to get the iPad app so the kids can play with it in storytime - they're just starting to get all their colors down!
