So yeah, I've been on hiatus. Took a break from modeling, from writing, from keeping up with everything and everyone. Like I said before, real life gets in the way of getting naked ( Read more... )

I like your writing and how well you express yourself. I'm envious.

Anyway, you've been on my front page for a long time. I was browsing though the window set last week and I liked it even more.

But doesn't comparing to others suck?

Thank you for the compliments. And yes, comparisons rarely go anywhere good.

I don't have the looks, I don't have the connections, I don't have the talent or the time.

So why am I hard at work, creating my own modeling portfolio site?

Because two of those statements are false, and the other two are directly tied together. If you allocate more time, you'll make the connections. Whether you can afford to do so, though, is something I can't know.

Your observation there took me aback (but in a good way). Not sure I agree 100% but I guess that's the point; either way, it's still on my mind. Thank you.

You're beautiful my darlin' and you have talent and spunk. Someone will always be prettier and younger than us because well thats just the way it is, but that doesn't make any of us less. I believe in you. You should never stop doing what you love. Only time will tell what will or can happen.
Do what is in your heart and don't worry about the rest. I stand behind you 100%.

Thank you, sweet girl. I see pretty pictures of you here and there, and "not that it matters," as a friend of mine says, "but you look fabulous." :)

I don't think I would model either if I had to provide the clothes. I think about modeling like this: I am a clothes-hanger, use me. If you were confident in the investment, I would suggest you got an agent. But you seem to have surveyed your situation and know it may not be worth it. Keep the portfolio online, though. A few random gigs here and there may be interesting.

I would love being a clothes-hanger. But being 5' 4" and not classically beautiful, the only modeling I'm really "good for" tends to specifically remove clothes from the equation, if you follow.

But portfolio = yes; it's coming along slowly but surely.

I am glad it is coming along. As for nude modeling, that is great--then you don't NEED a wardrobe at all, you know? [Smiles] It's not a career, even when you are doing runway, because it is so unpredictable. But it is an option. And that's fine.
