I realize that signing an online petition is usually a waste of time as validity of signatures gets pulled into question. However, an online petition does give a good idea of how many people would sign it if they had the real thing in front of them

I've heard about this.... I fail to see what the Governor can do about a Constitutional amendment, other than use a weakly bully pulpit on the Lege and the people. It's out of his hands.
