Ringing the changes

2012 was The Year of Waiting, getting all of our ducks in a row to move from GA to WA, with a huge drain on money, energy, spoons, and resources in general. 2013 was the year that paid it all off, but it was also a year of even more changes than expected - new friendships, changes in old friendships, an unexpected renewal of family relationships,

I don't know about the "medical changes that may have far reaching effects", but you just mention it in passing, so I assume (and hope) it won't prevent the new year from being better than the last, for both of you.
