My dad and I got back safely, no thanks to American "Our motto is: Why be punctual?" Airlines.

Seattle had charity statues too, except they were pigs. They were all fiberglass at about the same scale.

Very true about bird watching. We saw more birds in India than anywhere, thanks to having people who knew their birds pointing them out.

Yeah, the cows were all about the same size; once I get my pics uploaded I'll post the link. It was a little jarring to be arriving at the hotel at midnight, which is across the street from one of the parks, and seeing giant cow statues.

As far as bird watching, with very few exceptions, I'm not very good at bird pattern recognition, so I can see a bird and ten minutes later I won't be sure what it is. This tends to drive my father crazy, but he's finally accepted that I just don't seem to have this ability.

I look forward to the pictures. I have a bunch of my own that I need to upload. Actually uploading them is easy; there's also selecting the good ones, contrast-adjusting if necessary, resizing and cropping, the actual upload, and finally linking them into a message that says what they are.

It was fun. Caravan is a nice tour company, and nothing too horrendous with the exceotion of my camera issues happened.

How could I have not replied to this post? I was probably on my "I never have time to be on the computer" kick that I seem to be stuck on.

So glad that you had a good time. I find that many things "all-inclusive" are actually tailored for the drinkers. They did the whole "Cow" thing in Madison once. They also had painted buffalo in Carson City.
