We arrived Wednesday afternoon at our friend's Jess & Aaron's up in Mansfield (Near Dallas). They've been kind enough to house us through the storm. I just heard on the TV that the drive from Galveston to Dallas is now up to 22 hours. OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sooooooooo thankful we got to leave yesterday, it only took us 4 and a half hours to get up here ( Read more... )

Hey honey! My nuber is 917-251-4409 and my home number is 972-462-0482. Jennifer and Isaac are headed up here at some point today or tomorrow also :-) They may end up staying with me.

I have class today and work tonight, but Melissa and I will be home during the day tomorrow, and then I have all day Saturday and Sunday off. :-) Despite the circumstances of y'all being here, I vote we take advantage and all of us go to dinner or something on Saturday night.

Y'all are up here, you're safe, Mansfield might get a tornado or two but its nothing they can't handle. :-) That's what's important *hugs*

I'll let ya know what we're doing. Depends on the weather on Sat or Sunday as to when it makes it's way up here. It would be nice to go out to dinner with y'all. *hugs* Stay safe!!! I'm glad Jennifer and Isaac are headed your way to safety!

I hope everything will be just fine for you guys. One of VZW's call centers is in Houston and it was completely shut down (which, if you knew how our call centers ran, is a feat on its own) and all the employees told to evacuate as of today. What struck me as just insanely cool is that they're paying all their employees for time missed. I sure hope the damage is minimal. They're saying by the time it makes landfall it should have dropped to category 3, maybe less. All the same, I'm glad you guys are out of there.

Hi honey! Joe was worried about you guys. Glad to see you posted already. (I was worried too, of course..)

I haven't been able to get in touch with any of my Houston friends yet so I'm relieved to see that you guys at least are ok and able to say in touch. I hope everything in your part of town made it through ok. Make sure you keep us all updated!!

Love you!
