Thanks:( I still miss him, the space where his fish tank was seems so empty. I still go straight to were we had him after work so that I can feed him, only to realize he is no longer alive. :(
I don't want another pet, I can imagine a cat or a dog dying, it must me a gazillion times worth. In one of my summers as a child in DR my uncle left me in charge of his rabitts about 30 of them. There was one that died, he was already sick before I took charge of them and was exted to die. When he did die I didn't wat for about 4 days, my poor dad didn't know what to do with me. I was about 8 years old. :(
that is the one and only downside to having a pet. You can't help but become emotionally attached and when something bad happens...well you know. And it really is a huge trauma and you have to go thru a grieving process like you would with any other loss. Anyone who says otherwise or discounts it as being "only a pet" just doesn't get it.
