Well I decided to suck it up and clean out the fish tank. All I have to say is thank god for the Python. Makes the whole process so much easier. So now it's running to get out most of the chlorine and stabilize the temp before putting fishes back in. how much of the water did you change? you usually dont want to do moe than 50% MAX

normally I would agree with you on the amount of water change, but I'm what is known as a "piss poor" fish owner so I haven't cleaned the tank in a LONG time and there was a seriously large amount of gunk in there that taking out half the water would not have fixed. the Fish are currently in containers filled with the old fish water and will be fine in there for a day or so. I did the same thing with them when I initially moved down here and set the tank up from scratch.

you can use the python to pull that gunk out. good luck with them. put some of the old water back in with them. it will help restore some of the good needed bacteria.
