I love this entire fic! I love how you make a ship a town, and how Joanna is the daughter of both her parents (with a whole lot of influence from aunts and uncles too), and really loves and respects both her parents. You made Jocelyn just as real an influence on her life as Bones, and hardly any fics do that properly.

(And I love the shen thing for Shax. It's such a small detail, but it works so well to show Jo's matter-of-fact respect.)
