Oh, WOW. How long can she keep it up, frayed as she is? And yet we can see her core of braided steel, too, and her vivid, different sons. This is gorgeous.

Awesome. This is one of those AUs where I can't help speculating on the future -- will Sam break away? Will Jim take up the fight when Winona's gone? There are undertones of Sara Connor here, but I like that it's Trek instead.
