"Jim and Spock from McCoy's pov" stories are always so much fun, by virtue of the fact that, in most of them, one way or another, it freaks McCoy out. Either that, or McCoy's reaction is "*smirk* Spock won't let you get away with half of your usual shit. Ha." or something along these lines. That's why I love them.

This one is of the "freaking out/don't need to hear details" type, but not in the comical way. I quite liked the McCoy voice here.

Best parts?

And that soft, flirty smile, which Bones is half-convinced created Jim's playboy image itself.

:) I agree with McCoy here.

Thing is, Jim is fucked up. There are times Bones is absolutely sure he's clinically insane. -- Now that throws an entirely different light onto the matters. Intriguing idea. It's one thing to call someone crazy, another thing entirely to say "clinically insane" as if he means it. The former is fun, the latter brings up many intriguing questions.

No matter how screwed Bones (and the rest of the crew for that matter) thinks they are, no matter how many ( ... )
