Fandom: Star Trek XI Characters: Winona, Gaila Rating: PG Summary: This is why they are who they are. Notes: Written for the Awesome Ladies Ficathon Word Count: 1247
Thank you! And you might get your wish; I've kind of fallen in love with the dynamic between these two, so there might be more fic with them in the future.
Oh! Winona fic with her being brilliant and just shining throughout the entire story - of course Jim inherited her swagger. Gaila! Fangirl Gaila at that. She is adorable and competent and you can see her strength shine through. I love how they meet and just click.
And yes, the lack of women is laughable when so many of them are so capable and amazing at what they do. So go, Gaila, bully Jim and get everything you deserve for being as brilliant as you are. Winona Kirk's words are as law.
Seriously, fantastic job with this piece. I loved it.
I always thought that Jim was more like Winona than George, and I wanted to explore that a little in this fic.
I'm really glad Gaila's characterization didn't come out disjointed. I feel like she's gone through a huge spectrum of emotion, but I'm happy it worked for you.
And nobody wants to mess with Winona, especially not Jim.
