Grief.
I guess I never really realized how hard it is to try to be there for someone when they're dealing with the death of a close friend. I don't know what to do or to say, or whether it's appropriate to try to focus on something pleasant or grieve with them. something very similar happened to me in january, when my sister's best friend, carissa, commit suicide. i never know what to say when someone is that devastated... what do you say? personally, in dealing with this and helping us all cope with her death, i thought that either listening to greer or simply being there for her was best. also, when she was feeling up to talking about carissa, i talked with her about the good times and looking at pictures was always helpful, though extremely hard and made us both cry a lot. i don't know if this is helpful at all, i hope it is, but if you need to talk to anyone, ever, i'll be here whenever. feel better and know that everything will get better.
