Slamming how? Like there's not enough inclusive language or inclusive language is for dirty hippies?
All the same, THAT person should not be ordained. Regardless of opinion, there's a time and a place for these sorts of complaints and chapel ain't it. Sheesh. Some pastoral skills THAT arsehole has.
Slamming like inclusive language excludes those of us from chapel who feel that God is a man. Okay, I overstated that a little, but the more important point, as you noticed, is that chapel is not the place to attack a group of people with no format for speaking, especially from a position of power: the pulpit. There were so many problems with what this kid did. (By the way, it's not the Beej!) I wrote him an e-mail asking for a copy of his sermon, and will probably ask him to make an appointment with me to talk about this issue. He obviously did very little research regarding the use of inclusive language in ECUMENICAL worship (it's not as if we're paradeing into his chuch and demanding that he not say Lord!) Okay, I can stop ranting now.
