Well, Riku seems to be adjusting to school. She's still not very keen on the other students, but she's liking her teachers. I did sit down and talk with one of them the other day...and got about what I expected. The woman seemed optimistic, though, and thinks it's good for Riku to be there, no matter how much my little girl protests it

Well then get her another teacher if it bothers you, or tell the woman to do her job better. Either way I don't see what on earth Riku's schooling has to do with me. I suppose you have to do something.

It sounds like the transition, while not going as smoothly as parents always like, is going well enough. I'm sure if you stick to the lovely routine you've set up that she'll be building confidence and making new friends in no time.

I certainly hope so. That's entirely the reason I sent her to school in the first place.
