Well the AR.Drone is an interesting mix. On the surface I label it as a toy. It's setup so that almost anyone can fly it. But it is also an advanced flying linux computer with a 3-axis gyro, ultra-sonic sensors, and cameras so it can see where it is. Reveille was kind enough to buy me the original AR.Drone for Christmas last year and I have had a lot of fun with it throughout the year, when I have had time to fiddle with it. The 2.0 has some interesting new features. I do want one, but will wait to see how much better it really is than my current drone. The HD camera of course is the biggest improvement. The front camera on the current drone is pretty poor quality and the down facing camera is very VERY low res.

Whoa! That's one cheap brushless motor! $3 servos too, crazy. Damn China and they're ability to produce products for less than the cost of materials.

Its kinda scary. I don't like buying from China as I know that its not great for our economy. I still buy from my local hobby store when it makes sense to do so.
