B&B are already heading off to a nicer place, a warmer place, *Florida*. While MP and I will still be here, facing the cold (and yes, it is cold - people who say it is not cold just haven't lived in a nice climate yet) and questions alone. At least we have Children of Mana to bide our time with. Oh, and we went to pick up a power converter because our DSs ran out of battery. We had the choice of buying a power converter for $40ish, or $2 on a power pack for the DS. $2!!!! Guess which we went with. So now we have DSs with power, and much gaming time to show for it.
Speaking of CoM, you need to match languages at least as we were unable to get the Japanese and American versions to talk to each other. So we went back and bought another American one - so much cheaper to buy games here than in Oz. So now I have a spare Japanese version, as I already gave a copy of it to KithalBro, we decided not to duplicate another copy for him either, so bought him FFIII instead.
PS3 comments:
* PS3 is not fully developed yet - it does not run off the PS3 chipset (Cell) completely, and contains a PS2 chipset for all PS2 games. As such it has region coding still on old games, and runs them at PS2 speed. No benefit there, which was one of our main driving forces for getting the PS3 (so we could take the 3 PS2s we have and downsize to 1 PS3).
* Is completely sold out, we were 15th in line for a store that was meant to have about 18 so we were pretty pleased, until they came out and gave tickets to the first 12, and that was all their stock that came in.
* We are still going to look and try for one over the next 10 days we are here.
