so im really mad right now. i just found out that someone has been taking bits of my lj, my rants about steph and the plays and such, and EMAILING them to her... I CAN WRITE WHATEVER I WANT ON MY LJ, IF IM MAD AOBUT SOMETHING I WRITE ABOUT IT, AND ITS NOT YOURS TO TAKE AND SEND TO THE PEOPLE IM RANTING ABOUT... that is so rude it is unbelievable

Kate, not to trivialize at all but yours is a common story. I know quite a few people who either gave it up when they found parents snooping in their journal or went 100% friends only when people they didn't want reading their stuff read it and it caused serious drama.

If you still wanna do lj but just wanna avoid all the shit that comes from posting anything remotely personal in a public place (the INTERNET) just go friends only. And if you think one of your "friends" was doing this... either talk to them or take them off your list or both.

Or, quit lj. If it's giving you trouble it's really not worth it... only use it while it's good for you.

yeah, i tried to put it as friends only once but it said the only way to do this was to do each individual entry as freinds only and i kept forgetting so i didnt bother after a while... plus the fact that in this situation, its one of my friends...

jeeeeeez... thats why we're all in the DRAMA club, huh?

:( one of your friends... do you know which one? That's really terrible, but you can always remove a friend or create filter groups or go completely private whenever you just want to rant and aren't really looking for feedback so much.

Kate- :::HUG::: that's awful hun, and whoever is doing that is insanely inconsiderate to both you and stephanie. I agree with ^^^ - make your LJ friends only, and hopefully that'll stop them. I'd also talk with Steph, if you havne't already. Everyone understands that when you're upset the vent is often more hot air than actual feelings- and since everyone seemed really tense about the play i'm sure she'll understand that it wasn't as direct attack on her as these emails probably made it seem. Good luck with it all, and dont give up on lj just because someone is being a jerk.

thanx hun... i did talk with steph and things are gonna be just fine, i talked to her about how i felt and do feel about the plays and stuff and i was competely honest, and Im really glad we talked... but im just so mad someone would do somethng like that

ill porlly keep lj around to post every few days or weeks or something but not like my life anymore :-)

you dont really say anything about other people on lj, which was my number one mistake, so youre good buddy... but maybe for precaution... besides, you never know waht kind of people are out there jsut messin around online trying to find out stuff aobut other people

maybe you should just keep your lj to write ethings like keeping record of your yellow beansprouts growing in your nongarden bed or writing poetry on why the gender of beard is female and other insightful, profound topics such as that.
or, even better, just write the reasons why you love this girl carolyn every day. i mean, dude, i'd do it, who wouldn't? all the cool kids are.

thats why i gave up, i will never post again. you never know who's reading and what they may say or do about what you wrote. its creepy and mean and uggh. people need to just stay out of things that dont concern them and/or just keep their feelings to themselves if they dont like it. but yeah we talked, you know my thoughts on this situation. time to make this person really look like a jerk --- clear it all up with steph.

its so true, you never know... which is scary, especially for someone like me who posts practically their whole lives... its like an autobiography of katedom

it jsut stinks that this is what i took for me to realize that you cant just automatically trust everyone... even your friends would do something dumb and embarrasing to you to make things better for themselves

oh well, i used lj almost like a buddy to talk to every night after school and work and everything, like my own little roommate who only listens... but i still have all my buddys, i still have you, i guess ill jsut have to call you every night instead!
