Your summary is exactly what I expected to read. I'm glad for the most part you had a good time. I'm thinking we may opt to do the jungle trek at some time in the future. We've not slept out in the jungle over night ( ... )

It sounds like a much better experience than just the day trip to the TECC - I'mpretty sure that's where we went too. Both options of mahout training and jungle trek sound really interesting. We did an elephant ride and I loved our mahout - he had such a sense of humour. The stuff like elephants playing soccer I wasn't sure how comfortable I was with, and I didn't know all the background of the place. But it was so far above the tiger place and the elephants seemed healthy and happy, as far as I could tell with elephants.

I love the photo of just the bum of Bear's elephant poking out of jungle!
