Lol, I hat-stalled on sortingmore (why am I not surprised?!), and now I have to pick between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. I could go for Ravenclaw, since that's what I am at HiH, but maybe I should go for Hufflepuff and try something different... I can't make these difficult decisions, dammit! :P ( Read more... )

OK, I think this is actually an HP sorting application that I want to do. Refreshing lack of pretensiousness is refreshing!

It's all questions from the ~official~ sorting hat at Pottermore, so um, go J K Rowling?

Go JKR in any case, but it's not even so much the questions (which I realize come from JKR and some of which are actually kinda silly, especially when given no opportunity to elaborate), just the overall tone of the application and sorting process and everything. I was half-expecting the app to demand supporting evidence from classical literature or discourse on the symbolism of the objects or something, based on the other HP sorting apps I've seen. (Not to knock those communities, which I know lots of people on my flist enjoy, and indeed they seem like a lot of fun... I'm just put off by the "entrance exam")

Lol, I guess there are already enough communities where sorting is ~serious business~, so it makes a nice change.
