Some of those teas sound so cool. It's almost enough to make me wish I drank tea. And I kind of want to make tea blends for all my fandoms now. Like, Great Houses of Westeros teas? How cool would that be!
I hate messing around with loose-leaf tea (tea in baggies = modern world's greatest invention), but I was seriously tempted by some of these, and the appeal of making up blends for fandoms not already included.
You should totally come up with a Great Houses set! And, like, make banners of it and share them on V_F :) The houses actually lend themselves quite nicely to thing, I think -- you could have orange blossom and spices for Martell, floral stuff for Tyrell, etc.
I'd love to, but unfortunately I don't know anything about tea at all. Like, I looked on the blend creator thingy and I'd never even heard of half the stuff they had. And I'm not sure that "here, try this tea blend I made from completely random ingredients, there's at least a slight chance that it won't suck" will be very encouraging to people XD
The woman at the volunteer office suggested the Citizens Advice Bureau, which helps people out with advice about all sorts of different situations. Their next training session isn't until next year, though, but it sounds like it could be really good (although you have to know a lot of stuff - there's 12 weeks of training, apparently!). She also said they might have some work I could do in the volunteer office itself, which I need to get in touch again and ask about. So there are definitely some interesting options :)
