Rome was mind-blowing. I learned so much about history and since our hotel was smack-bang in the centre, we could walk under a mile in any direction and be met with amazing sights such as the Emmanuel Monument (or wedding cake building, as the RAF nicknamed it), the Pantheon or the Trevi Fountain. I smiled reading this post. You reminded me of places that I visited while in Rome, oh how I would love to return again sometime!

Did you find the pyramid next to the graveyard for non Catholics? There was a cat sanctuary by this too.

I didn't see any pyramids, but I was surprised to learn about the amount of Egyptian monuments we happened upon! I'd also like to learn more about the relationship between the Romans and Ancient Greece. There was wayyy more to see than I realised, considering most people seem to go for four days. I'm not that unfit and my calves were ready to just give up on me!
