And we like you :D

I got the new Mage book! Thanks to Matt, who picked it up in Pittsburgh for me, as aparently the new Mage book hates the state of Ohio.

Now to do my piles of work...
Oh god...

*blinks* Is it possible? There are people out there worse than Sacrafice-your-ovaries-to-save-the-World Susan? (Didn't want to use last name on a public page, for some reason...)

Much, much worse.

I think I made an enemy by flagrantly saying that working teaching in Japan isn't the paradise land of milk and honey to some girl who was railing on and on about how her friend was there and how she wanted to go.

Oh dear, there were people like that in my Japanese class as well. They were like "Oooo, look at me! I know all of this Japanese because I've watched all these animes".

What's worse is when they're wrong! WHEN THEY'RE FLAGRANTLY WRONG!

"Doko wa shusshin desu ka?"
"Sensei, don't we use ni for this?"
"Ee?"
"Doko NI shusshin desu ka?"
"...Ee?"

To explain-- ni is the particle used for movement.
Doko does in fact mean where, but that question becomes where (going) to your hometown. With wa, it's where is your hometown.
