眠れない。
あぁ眠れない。
ゴールデンウィークって誰が命名したんだろうか。
気になって眠れない。
と思って調べたら
実はシルバーウィークもあったという事実を発見し
更に眠れない。

I can't sleep.

I wonder who named Golden Week.
I bothers me and I can't sleep. (1)

the fact is I'll find out it says there really is a Silver Week too. (2)

Notes:
(1) To clarify, he means the celebration (noise, probably) is bothering him and he can't sleep. Clearly he knows who created Golden Week, which actually surprises me because I'm not sure that's commonly known (like how some people in America don't know Hallmark created Valentines Day). Is he smart, or just bored enough to find out? We'll never know~
(2) As in, he's afraid that he has to go through another round of irritating celebrations.
(3) The term "Golden Week" was coined in 1951 by Hideo Matsuyama, who was an executive director of Daiei, a movie production company, in order to promote the movie "Jiyu Gakko (Freedom School)" which was put on public viewing during the period which corresponds to "Golden Week." It was used as a promotion gimmick to invite larger number of viewers and is therefore a Japanese phrase made English.
It was initially dubbed "黄金週間” in Japanese, but was later changed to "Golden Week" for impact.
