These are both really beautiful, but also both really gutwrenching. Not sure what the 'but' is for, since they were clearly intended to be, but it's some great writing.

I like these. They all seem driven by very real emotion and they get inside the heads of the narrators (whoever they are) very well. Hard to do in so few words.
