I don't know how much I'll keep this pace, but it's time for day TWO of the Death Fox run!  I did a lot today, compared to yesterday.  Prepare for a lot...

SO after grinding in the forest (which luckily you will be spared of), the "official" start of the day starts with our party.

Everyone's level 11, and the stat distribution is starting to become more and more clear.  This will start mattering when I start getting TMs that I can use.  I could probably train them up to level fifteen.

Or I could be a fool and challenge the gym now.  Guess what I decided to do?

Oh dear.  Are you going to be my agent?  I don't need to be hired, I can handle myself.

Eh, I'll entertain you.  Give me that winning advice.

You know, if it were anyone else, that would be some good advice.  In my case, at this point in time, there's little to no difference in my poor vulpixes.  Oh well... let's see what happens when we start with the trainer.

I am going to have to fight the urge to make jokes.  Fight, I tell you.  Because pretty much all the jokes have been done before, right?

...Okay seriously, what is that name?

...Oh fucknuggets.  S-sic'm, Dal...!

I love this gym.  I love it so much.  You guys, I am so in love with this gym.

Please shoot me.

Of course, as soon as I say this, Dal proves her worth!  Dal, you are an impressive fox.  Three critical hits in a row?  I will feed you many hapless pidgeys and caterpies as a reward.

And since Dal did so well, I gave her a break and decided to get Gage some action.

GODDAMN DEATHPIDGEY METHOD.  Luckily, for some odd reason, ground doesn't seem to resist fire type!  So Gage horribly murders this sandshrew.

Like so!

That's the part you're concerned about...?  You don't mind that you got your ass handed to you by a person with nothing but fire types?  How often do you lose, kid?

.............I don't think I'm comfortable any more.

And here's the stat boost with the new level-ups.  Will it be enough to defeat Brock?  And no wonder Gage is a murderbeast, look at that SP.ATK!  Dal will be shining when she learns physical attacks, I bet, though.

The smart fire-type trainer would train just a few more levels to give this rock-type dude a fight.  Am I the smart trainer, however?

No.  I'm not.

...Stop saying that.  I was already uncomfortable, and you are not helping.........

I regret this already.

So catching animals into a device that effectively TRONs them into microspace, carrying them in your pocket, and summoning them to battle other animals to make money in fights is an honorable act.  Micheal Vick for kids!

I regret this already.

I regret this.

I really really regret this.

This is actually part of the tactic - by tossing in a tail whip or two, it wasted time using defense curl.  Which turned out pretty well, because........

TANGO SMASH.  Seriously, she got a critical hit THREE TIMES and completely OBLITERATED that Geodude.

Hell no.  Let's rip that Onix a new one.

...Fuck.

THANK YOU BABY JESUS.  If this Onix's accuracy keeps being crappy, then I may stand a chance...

Oh this will be fun.

Good thing Brock is retarded?

Unfortunately, not as stupid as he could be.

I'm sensing a pattern......

Oh man, Silvie, are you going to be the one to push onix to red?

...I am not surprised.  And at this point, I'm deciding to what level to grind everyone on my second attempt.

Murderfy, Gage!

FUUUUUUUUUU--

--GAGE YOU SURVIVED.  YOU'RE SO HARDCORE.

But apparently Brock has been toying with me, as he immediately cockblocks any attacks from Gage with a second rock tomb.

Go, Dal, go!

Invisible vulpix!  My timing with this was awesome.

...YES.  WE.  CAN WE DO THIS?  I THINK WE CAN DO THIS.

...HOLY CRAP.  DAL.  DAL YOU SAVED ME.

WE WON \o/

Now to claim our prize!

...Don't talk to me as if you're breaking up with me!  Just because I didn't bend over and let you pound my ass--

wait.

Quite informative, thank you!  No really.  All this time, btw, I imagine he's talking to Dal instead of to me...

That's cool!  If vulpix could learn rock tomb.  I'll probably sell this when I start needing the cash.

With the first of many gym leaders defeated, against the odds, against basic logic, defying the type disadvantage, our heroes cast an apprehensive look towards the mountain, no, beyond, where the city on the water lies... for our next foe is Misty, and surely she will not be so easy to defeat.  Water types that are MUCH more sufficient at taking special attack hits... hopefully the mountain that provides obstacle will provide some tool within its depths to make the battle less than impossible to win.

...Oh, hi.  ...........Hey.  Come to think of it, why the hell didn't you deliver that parcel to Oak?  You obviously have the time to come all the way here and camp out until I pass by...

I swear to god, if it's a pokeball--

...Oh.  ...Well, why didn't I take those running shoes when I left the house?  That seems to be an important tool for travel, right?  You know, a pair of shoes meant for the outdoors, which are usually good for running, climbing... did I leave the house in high heels?

"Bye-bye"?  What the fuck, you're a scientist, at least PRETEND to be a bit more sophisticated........
Oh wait.  I get it.  You're an intern!  You're not people.

Oh?

...Uh.  Uh?  Creepy...?  Creepy.  Very creepy.  What the...

Oh, okay that's less creepy.

Shit, did you hear from the shotas from Viridian Forest?

DAMMIT.  DIE IN A FIRE.

A wild MEME appeared!

I AM NOT A COMMON HARLOT!

...But it doesn't help that I'm ripping through the shota's pokemon with Sarah.

The Gen I part of my character's brain has exploded.

I-I did not!  If you want to do naughty things to me you just have to ask so I can tell you no.

This game was never so slutty before this point!  I guess it's because I'm paying attention to the dialogue this time.

FUCK GET OUT

Finally!  We've hit the point of four attacks.  From here on, there will be variety in the vulpixes.

Gage - the Burninator.

Please don't waste my time.

...where the fuck did you catch a level 11 caterpie in this area?

Roasted and skewered!

...No.  No thanks.

...Who actually says "groan" out loud?

"He showed me things about myself I never expected!"

Oh god no, please no infomercials....!!

But anyway, I need to train everyone to the same level before tomorrow's adventure.  To the tall grass!

...s-shut up.  I can't resist the urge to catch rare pokemon.  And I NEVER see a jigglypuff when I ACTUALLY play the game..!!

See, I actually really love these little things in the game.  Little quotes on how horrible Team Rocket is and yet the complete inaction is a real indicator of how effective the mafia is!  It's impressive to me.

Informative!

And now, I am going to close for the evening.  Here's a look on where we left off level-wise.  Oh, how nice it is that these guys are fleshing out their stats.
