Ribacular Cancerosus and Saving Cid

Okay, so yeah, it's been a while. What of it?! I've been like playing video games like there is NO tomorrow. And pretty much final fantasy games! is it me, or did they bring out like every single final fantasy game this fall/winter. It was an explosion of cats and final fantasy if you ask me. I played final fantasy 3, which was fantastic for the ( Read more... )

I thought an evil tree made a really good bad-guy.

Anyways play Final Fantasy 4 again while Final Fantasy 5 is still fresh in your mind. It's not really that good. I mean, it's good, but it's not THAT good that Final Fantasy 5 is bad, you know?

Oh and there was an Onion Knight in Legend of Mana, AKA Seiken Densetsu 4. He was awesome. He hung out with a living teapot and a fairy girl.

Legend of Mana != Seiken Densetsu 4, as Seiken Densetsu 4 has been released for PS2 and it's battle system is very similar to Kingdom Hearts in my opinion. I'm only in the beginning, but it should be enjoyable even with my small amount of Japanese, but it looks like it has replay value so it'll be worth playing again if it gets released in the US.

Oh? I thought that Legend of Mana was released under the name Seiken Densetsu 4 in Japan? I wonder what the name was, then? *looks it up* Oh! It was actually released as Seiken Densetsu: Legend of Mana in Japan. ^.^;;

I really liked Secret of Mana (SD2) and Legend of Mana, but not Seiken Densetsu 3 or Sword of Mana, so I'm conflicted on the series and careful about purchasing the new ones.

So, you're playing the PSX re-releases? *gag* I can't stand those. They messed up all the PSX re-releases save for FF4, where the battle load time is close to the SNES battle load time. The rest just take forever.

i'm playing it on the gameboy advance. final fantasy 6 just came out like a month ago. I had NO idea that that mana game was out already. can you name your guys?! I have to get it if you can. I'd be okay just naming one guy I think. (maybe) ... I really enjoy those mana games, but did not care for children of mana. ... I agree about the PSX releases. Those saving times were terrible and sometime it would glitch and you couldn't see the save screen!!!1. And yes, the load times were terrible too ( ... )

Um...Seiken Densetsu 4 was only just released in Japan on December 21, 2006. I don't think it'll hit US shelves until maybe the summer or even next fall or winter, but if we're lucky we might see it this spring (HAHA I doubt that...).
I'll have to get a copy of the ROM, since my PSP likes playing GBA roms better than SNES roms. But GBA roms are huge, so I might just stick with the SNES counterpart which I thoroughly enjoyed. I could load them onto my GBA flash cart though, and play them that way. I've been to busy to play many games though.

EGM says march for seiken densetsu 4.... that's why i thought it was weird that you guys had played it already!

the gba releases are really good, especially 4, but 5 has a whole slew of extra stuff that is also really awesome, especially the new classes they added. gladiator class ROCKS!

Psst... Sara!

You don't need the wireless adapter that came with Pokemon. That piece of plastic only works with 3 games: Pokemon FireRed, LeafGreen, and Emerald. It's the same thing as a link cable, except it lets you do some multiplayer stuff that's not too interesting, like a jump rope game and a berry-crushing game (tap the A button). The adapter only plugs into 3 things: Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP, and the Game Boy Player. There's a separate wireless adapter that Nintendo makes that works specifically with the Game Boy micro, but you have to buy it on their online store.

You were talking about Final Fantasy 3, right? What you do need is one of two things ( ... )

I recently gave her my nintendo wi-fi connector, so the wi-fi thing should work for her DS at least, now. But I hope it works better on hers than it did mine, I did a lot of uninstall-reinstalling due to it crapping up a bunch. My network was messed up as it was and then when it tried to share a connection for the first time it basically gave up, and I had to do major re-config'ing to get it running again. It should work at her house though, when we set it up initially it ran fine.

yeah, i know... see, thing is, i'm lazy and i haven't tried it with my ds... and i still need friends who have the game to send me emails so i can unlock that stuff.

Grandia was a good game that I never really got a chance to play. I have it, and just never sat down and played it... perhaps when I finish okami, zelda and final fantasy 12... man, i have so many games sitting around that i haven't played. ... i think the only one who has more unplayed games than me is mr. qkumbr up there... how many games do you have that you haven't touched yet, matt?

Well over 100- GBA, Gamecube, and DS. I'd make a list, but it'd be easier for you to just come over and see. Almost half of my DS games are still wrapped, which came Christmas morning. I buy games like some women buy shoes. I need to a 5-year break from life just to get through them all ( ... )

I am SO glad that someone else noticed, and was at least a little upset, that they changed the lyrics to the opera scene. The single most memorable scene in all of gaming, to me. This is why you rock Kitsune.

would you go so far as to say I roxorz like a foxorz in boxorz? Cause I am a fox. in boxers. not really.

I guess they changed it so it fit better with the music and stuff, but I knew that diehard fans of the super nintendo ones who played it over and over and over again (like me) would be pretty angry. I had to break the news to Mike Ostrum this weekend and he was NOT happy.

I have two kappas in my party right now, btw, and they are freakin insane! I never did that before when I played it as a kid, but holy crap!!!!!
