Today, 12 October, is the eighth anniversary of Matthew Shepard's death. Matthew Shepard was an innocent college student who was killed simply because he was gay. His murderers, Aaron McKinney and Russell Henderson used the "gay-panic" defense, claiming that Matthew came on to them and therefore they went temporarily insane and killed him. In
