We had a meeting with the nintendo rep at my store awhile back, and he said expect Sonic to be showing up in LOTS of nintendo based games from now on. We got our October DVD in for our Game Stop, and one of the previews was for the Nintendo Olympics Bejing. The preview showed Sonic carrying a flag with his face on it and Mario carrying a flag with I think his hat logo. It then showed them raceing in a sprint down a track...with Mario keeping pace with Sonic....
In the words of Kiro "How the hell does a overweight stubby leged Italian plumber keep up with Sonic?!"
I mean, on one end, I'm happy, as I was a fan of Sonic long time ago...it is just odd to see o.o
I've seen the Nintendo Olympics advert. It was incredible. It was what a lot of Sega (okay, mostly just nintendo) fans have been waiting for since the death of Dreamcast. But it's going to be a shitty boring sports title that nobody cares about. It will be a big seller purely by the fame of its cast.
BRAWL is part of a series of games of incredible quality. Super Smash Brothers started as an innovation to the fighter concept and has become known and relied upon for playability. It still lingers in the top ten Gamecube charts almost five years after the release.
Seeing Sonic in the next wave of This? An All-Star level game? Holy Shit.

Also, there's been rumor of Sonic starring in a Smash Brothers game since the first came out. To see it really happen is kind of, well, whoa.
