So, consider the origins of vampires. Old lore, but not the oldest lore. Nosferatu. Scary, horrible, parasitic, slightly ridiculous. The sort of things that gave you the shivers and a cold sweat as you walked home alone in the dark. Things that might kill you horribly, or worse, enslave you as a comparable supernatural abomination
