Wow the end times must be upon us. First Daft Punk releases a new CD this month. Which is alright, not as good as their previous offering, but still, its Daft Punk!

Now the other day i come across this link, NiN VideoHonestly i wasn't sure if Trent was going to put out another album so this took me by surprise. NiN is hoestly my favorite all time

I'm waiting for it too. I saw a primer spot from Trent for the new offering and it's going to be great, well worth the wait. All those guys up in the northeast have a great ear and style. Filter comes to mind as well.

Rick Ruben isn't that great. He's not on my list of needed chosenite producers. Butch Vig (nirvana & garbage) is so much better.

Yeah filter is pretty damn good, they have a good clean sound to them. Limblifter is another band that has a really clear sound with catchy hooks and lyrics that snag you from the start.

I guess all Ruben has going for him is his past track record of everything he touches going gold. I did like the work he did with Johnny Cash. He tends to get bands to go for a sound they normally wouldn't, unfortunately with the slipknot album you can tell the band wasn't really into it as they all have their side projects. Mainly it was the drums i didn't like, it was just Joey playing as fast as he could with no real rythm and it really distracted from Corey's excellent vocals and writing.

I agree of course there are better. I like the stuff that Butch Vig has done. As for my list of producers, i'd add Charlie Closer (sp?), he has some talent. I like what he did for Rob Zombie on his "Hellbilly Deluxe" album.

The new NIN CD is pretty good but not what I expected from the first single - I got the England import with remixes, very cool.

Anyhoo, you posted on ferretattitude about thepiratebay.org but it's mostly in german, how does it work? Can you e-mail me or post on my LJ some info about it and if it's good for good quality movies? Thanks!

oh yeah, i love the new CD, its a new sound for trent and i think it stands up pretty well when compaired to any of his stuff.

As for pirate bay, its a bit torrent site, you have to register, then after you do, you can browse for what you are looking for. I don't speak the language either, but i was able to figure it out. if you have an problems i'll do my best to help you.
