My STBB is now over 20K. I'm working on the final fight scene (I had to start over because I realized that there was no way I could keep the integrity of the fight from Jim's POV while Jim was having to watch via a viewscreen with an extremely limited perspective). Status Update
My Star Trek/Doom xover for the startrekbigbang is now at 17,990 words. I'm working on the big climax right now. (well, no. I'm getting ready for work right now, but you know what I mean!) Social anxiety, Star Trek, and Karl Urban
First things first. Karl Urban was a last minute addition to the Las Vegas Star Trek con this past weekend and there was no way in hell that I was going to miss the opportunity to meet him given my recent obsession. Beast - Shadow
Okay, I loved the song and I quite liked the video. Did not care for the giant earings or Junhyung's very first look, but everything else? Loved it.
I haven't been this happy/excited about a song in ages. If Beast comes to KCon, I'm there no matter what. -
Karl Urban
I've been obsessively watching all of Karl Urban's movies lately. Man is damned fine.
This has, as you can likely imagine, led to devouring of fanfic related to his characters.
In particular, I'm obsessing over Star Trek/Doom Xover fics where Bones was once Reaper. It actually works surprisingly well. -
Back and an Update
Okay. I'm back and I feel ... better. I won't say 'good', because that would be a lie. But better is good. Better is the best I could hope for at the moment.
Writing wise, I'm picking up speed again.
Though I'm technically still signed up for this last paperlegends Merlin Big Bang, I doubt I'll finish in time or that it will be long enough to qualify. ( Read more... ) -
