SGA toons and sketches

SCANNER! WHEE!

*ahem*

So, I've not played with anything in photoshop yet (which was the original reason I wanted the scanner, ironically) but I have uploaded a few of the random SGA sketches and toons I've done. So, I thought I'd share, cause it's 11 at night and I've nothing better to do.

Okay, first toon I really tried for this fandom was this one. I was bored at work one day, this happened, 'nuff said.

Moving right along... These next four toons were done in honor of my deep and abiding love for smittywing and her awesome High School AU beast of a series fic The Best Things in Life are Free. John, Rodney, teenage angst... a great deal of fannish crack really.
I apologize profusely, but I just couldn't help myself.
Hey, I'm just happy I didn't draw toons for the Ass Ducklings. Yet *ahem*
Anyway, none of these are taken from any specific scenes from the series. I was bored and at work (you starting to see the pattern here?) so I found myself thinking about the series. These happened.

Hair Gel?

Whose Idea Was This Anyway?

Aging Gracefully

Okay, last but not least...
This one time, I listened to my mother. Don't worry, I got over it quickly.
So, she wanted me to try drawing something that wasn't a cartoon. I was all "HAH!" but then I tried it anyway. I found the handiest obsession to fixate on, McKay and Sheppard.
Now, I've NEVER taken an art class of any kind in my life. Unless you include pasting packaging peanuts to construction paper in grade school, in patterns that were supposed to represent some random religious hallmark holiday. Which was totally fun and now I want to do it again, but that's besides the point.
Wait, what was the point?
Oh, right, so, no art classes. This was my first (and amusingly enough, last) attempt at doing something with a tad more realism. What's the term I'm looking for? Life drawing maybe. Anyway, I tried, this happened. I fully realize that it has issues. I hung it up on my wall and stared at it for the last couple months trying to figure out everything I did wrong so that I could learn from it or something. Then I gave up.

Regardless. I like it. Even with it's many issues. So I decided to go ahead and scan it in. Ironically (and doesn't that word just follow me around constantly?) I got a really crappy scan of it. I'm not sure if that improves it by blurring some of the issues or not. But I was too sleepy to give a shit, so the crappy scan stands for the moment.

Okay, I'm done rambling and killing my bandwidth dead.
For the moment.
