are you using different dns servers than rist?

have you tried running a tracert on the sites having issues?

if you have a spare usb drive you might even try installing portable firefox on it just to see how it handles those sites.

i had something like that happen, and i couldn't log into any mail account, but most everything else worked. it turned out that bellsouth had changed the MTU (maximum transmission unit) size, and all i had to do was set my dsl modem's MTU size to match that, and everything worked again. took me about 3 days to figure out what was going on & fix it, though.
