SAKURACON: Part One
SO I WENT TO A CONVENTION THIS WEEKEND...
I had to break this into two posts because there was just WAY TOO MANY and I don't want to overload computers or something. This post has all the general pictures I took, whereas the one I post in a little bit will have all Tales of Series related ones. Why specifically them?
WELL:
I was dressed like Ion all weekend! Also includes Holly (Misuzu Kamio from AIR), and Stian (a furby... pirate... thing).
They had a few photoshoots for each series (although I heard no one showed up to the Vesperia and Symphonia shoots, which was kind of sad) and then a General shoot on Saturday night. The Abyss shoot was Sunday morning (SO EARLY) but I managed to amke it to both! The pictures from these photoshoots (as well as all random Tales of pictures) will be included in that post. : D
Holly's costume was so cute this year! Jacob is next to her in the glasses.

One of my friends from Gasukan dressed as Cirno from Touhou. She was getting a professional photoshoot done; those wings were gorgeous!

A glomp circle that was broken up about 10 minutes later. They were banned this year. ):
COOLEST. COSTUME. EVER. After taking a picture they were like: "You know, our boss is always telling us it isn't easy being green." "DOHOHOHOHO."

Katanagatari cosplayeeeer. *A* I saw two Togame's there but no Shichika.
GINKO~ I saw another Ginko wandering around too, but didn't get a picture.
THIS HUGHES. He looked just like him, but man, there was no attempt at being IC even a little. He was all serious and intense when I asked for a picture and didn't even say "Yes" when I asked for one, he just posed with an intense serious face. fffff.
My mom. Getting humped by Hard Gay. There are no other words.

Now, Stian is an exchange student at Holly's school from Norway. He wanted a picture with Hard Gay and basically got bad-touched (and yes, he knew what he was getting into after the above tiny Jade made the mistake of trying to get a hug). He spent the next 20 minutes staring at the picture and giggling. It was amazing.
My friend at UW, Jannah, dressed as Sebastian from Black Butler. Her contacts made her look creepy. : D;
And then Hard Gay got involved...
ACE VENTURA. FUCK YEAH.
Me: OMIGOD THE BUSHES ARE MOVING.
Mom: ...Sarah are you on drugs?
Me: What. :| What, mom, what?
Mom: I don't know what you me- OH MY GOD.
The Masquerade Ball! It... was lame. I didn't get my dress and they made you wear a mask and it was really awkward fitting it over my wig, but really? None of my friends went. :| I sat there and watched all the couples dancing and looking fancy and got all sad and left. One of two low points in the con (the other people the ~40 minute period where I was like WHERE IS EVERYONE MY PHONE IS DEAD SOB.)
FUCK YOU KYUBEY NO ONE LIKES YOU. ): Okay but really, seeing this cosplay made my night.
THE SWIMSUIT CONTEST~ The fox girl crushed a can with her thighs and ALL THE GUYS seriously just DOVE into the center stage to get close up pictures. You know, of her crotch. It was kind of awkward.
THIS WAS JUST AWESOME. Also, managed to get my mom into the series and she bought the whole anime. B)

We finished the con with this panel. It was awesome! The speaker showed pictures from all the Japanese Hell Scrolls, which man you should look up if you've never seen then. Definitely not for the faint of heart, though. : D;
